European AI Ecosystem

In Europe, the adoption of data and AI technologies requires a well-coordinated approach that links the diverse interests of industry, academia, policymakers, various investors, user communities, and those of individual member states.

In my role as Editor-in-Chief of the Strategic Research, Innovation and Development Agenda for a European Public-Private Partnership in Artificial Intelligence (SRIDA), my main focus is to connect the existing European AI ecosystem as well as to stimulate the establishment of a unified framework necessary for the adoption of AI technologies in Europe.

This is based on my work as lead editor of the strategic research and innovation agenda of the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), with more than 200 member organizations, which I have managed on behalf of the European Commission since 2014.
